Covid-19 vaccine update - 11/01/21
We are in the process of calling patients in order of priority. There are nearly 5000 residents over the age of 80 in Bexhill, so this recall will take time. The over 80s and Care home population in itself will take several weeks to complete and we are reliant on the vaccine delivery schedule from Government.
You WILL be called or written to accordingly, please be patient, and kindly do not contact the Surgery via telephone or email to enquire about your vaccine.
The priority list for Covid-19 vaccination set out by The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is as follows:
Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
All those 80 years of age and over and frontline health and social care workers
All those 75 years of age and over
All those 70 years of age and over and clinically extremely vulnerable individuals
All those 65 years of age and over
All individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality
All those 60 years of age and over
All those 55 years of age and over
All those 50 years of age and over
When you arrive for your appointment, please note the following.
- You must wear a face covering.
- You must Social Distance at all times.
- Please do not arrive early for your appointment, this will increase the queue times.
- Come alone if you are able to. Only one carer may accompany you.

Most importantly, please keep your spirits high! This is new to all of us and we are dealing with a very delicate vaccine and have to handle with care. There may be delays to your appointment time, especially when we are transporting the vaccine to the clinic rooms. The staff are working hard to get this rolled out as smoothly as possible.
We thank you very much for your support, we look forward to getting all patients who want the vaccine completed as soon as we are able to.
